Assumption of Risk
Moving-related risks accepted by posters, movers, and other RushGig users.
Last updated: August 23, 2026
Moving is physical and risky
Moving, lifting, carrying, packing, loading, unloading, driving, entering homes or apartments, using stairs, handling furniture, using dollies, and working around vehicles can be dangerous. Risks include property damage, lost or broken goods, strained muscles, falls, cuts, crushed fingers, back injuries, vehicle accidents, weather exposure, unsafe premises, interactions with strangers, and serious injury or death.
Both posters and movers assume all risk
By using RushGig, posting a job, responding to a gig, or meeting another user, both posters and movers knowingly, voluntarily, and expressly assume all risks of injury, death, theft, loss, and property damage connected to the gig or user interaction.
You are responsible for deciding what work is safe, what equipment is needed, whether an item should be moved, whether the location is safe, whether to stop work, and whether to obtain insurance or professional movers instead of using a peer-to-peer listing platform.
No safety guarantee
RushGig does not inspect move sites, equipment, vehicles, items, users, credentials, or safety conditions. RushGig does not guarantee that any person, location, item, vehicle, stairway, route, or move will be safe.
