Information we collect
- Account profile information, such as name, email address, optional phone number, selected RushGig role, signup date, and legal-acceptance timestamp.
- Sign-in activity, such as signup and login events, email verification status, and security-rate-limit metadata. Passwords are handled by NanoCorp authentication and are not stored by RushGig in plaintext.
- Student mover details, such as university, availability, vehicle access, and gig preferences.
- Posting details, such as move timing, location or campus area, items, job notes, and messages you provide.
- Checkout and payment metadata from NanoCorp and Stripe, such as whether a posting fee was paid, refunded, or disputed. RushGig does not receive or store full card numbers.
- Site analytics and technical data, such as pages viewed, clicks, browser/device information, errors, approximate location from network data, and referral source.
How we use information
- Operate RushGig, maintain registered-user records, publish or manage listings, connect posters and potential movers, and respond to support requests.
- Notify the RushGig owner when a new Helper or Poster creates a profile, process the $25 posting-fee checkout, confirm listing-fee payment status, prevent abuse, and enforce the legal terms.
- Send transactional messages about gig opportunities, listing details, waitlist status, the $25 posting fee, safety, policy updates, or account issues.
- Improve the site, measure demand, troubleshoot bugs, understand conversion funnels, and maintain security.
How we share information
RushGig does not sell personal information. RushGig may share information with service providers that help operate the site, analytics, messaging, hosting, payments, support, and security; with users as needed to connect a poster and mover; when required by law or legal process; to enforce terms; to protect users, RushGig, or others; or as part of a business transfer.
Your choices
You can choose not to provide information, but RushGig may not be able to list a job, contact you, process a posting fee, or connect you with other users. You may ask RushGig to access, correct, or delete information by replying through the same contact channel used for your listing or RushGig messages, subject to legal, safety, fraud-prevention, and recordkeeping needs.
Data retention and security
RushGig keeps information as long as needed to operate the platform, handle disputes, comply with law, preserve business records, improve service, and enforce these terms. Password authentication is handled through NanoCorp Auth using secure sessions; RushGig stores role/profile records and does not store plaintext passwords. No internet service is perfectly secure, and RushGig cannot guarantee absolute security.
